Data retention and deletion
Effective 1 August 2026. Retention depends on asset class, plan, archive state, legal obligations, and active production dependencies.
Plan-based media retention
Final exports are normally retained for at least 3 days on Free, 30 days on Creator, 90 days on Pro, and 180 days on Business. Free output remains until the later of three days after completion or 24 hours after the first successful download.
Source uploads, unselected candidates, failed files, and repair intermediates have shorter plan-specific periods because they can be substantially larger than a final master.
Warnings and controls
Where the product supports it, EgaClip warns seven days and 24 hours before scheduled deletion and records completion. Users may download, extend eligible storage, move eligible final assets to Archive, or delete immediately.
Archive and legal holds
Only final masters and assets explicitly pinned by a user enter Archive. Temporary candidates are not archived automatically. A legal hold, dispute, security incident, or active generation dependency can delay deletion.
Financial, consent, and audit records
Receipts, billing records, consent records, safety events, and audit history may remain for the period required by law, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or an applicable policy even after media access ends.
